Released on June 16, 2023 in Japanese and on September 22, 2023 in English, 151 is the first special set from the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet series. It is the English counterpart the Japanese Pokémon 151 set.
This set has been been incredibly successful and the popularity can be attributed to the fact that it focuses solely on the original 151 Pokémon reimagined in new, beautiful illustrations. Many childhood Pokémon fans have dusted off their old binders and dived headlong back into collecting their Gen I favorites like Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur.

Pokémon Ranger Kat's Bonus Pick: The Poliwhirl Illustration Rare is the card that got me back into Pokémon TCG. The last booster pack I ripped was probably sometime around 2003 and seeing this card... my brain couldn't compute that this was what Pokémon cards looked like now! The art is absolutely gorgeous and just makes me feel some nostalgic kinda way. Mission accomplished, The Pokémon Company 👍.
