Trade-in policy

We're currently only doing trade-ins for store credit. We're expecting to be able to offer cash in mid-March.

 

Please understand that we may choose not to buy anything for a variety of reasons, such as product condition, having an overabundance of that particular product, etc.

You can send an email with the list of cards you're interested in selling (include the card name and card number) to jason@thepokecourt.com to check if we're interested in buying before coming to the store. Include "TRADE-IN LIST" in the subject line.

Not local to NYC? Email your list of cards to jason@thepokecourt.com and include "TRADE-IN NOT LOCAL" in the subject line.

Please note:

• We're only interested in English or Japanese products at this time.
• You can choose to receive the trade-in value as cash or store credit. 
• For PSA trade-ins over $1,000 in value, we require a photocopy of your ID.
• "Vintage" = Black & White or older.
• TCG market price is based on Pricecharting. Plushie market price is based on eBay Last Sold.

PLUSHIES

 

COLLECTIONS & BINDERS

If you're interested in selling a full collection and/or binders you can visit us before the store opens from 10:30am - 11:30am for exclusive service (no need to call ahead). We'll still buy collections during normal store hours, but service times will be subject to staff availability throughout the day.

"Appraisal" Fee: If we price out your collection, but no deal is made in the end, we will charge you $6 per 10 minutes for appraisal services.

 

NOT ACCEPTED PRODUCTS

We are currently not accepting:

• Modern bulk
• Non-PSA graded cards
• Product in languages other than English or Japanese
• Pokémon merchandise that isn't TCG or plushies
• Non-Pokémon TCG
