Releasing in Japan on April 18, 2025, The Glory of Team Rocket will be the tenth main Japanese expansion set from the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet era. Combined with Heat Wave Arena, it will be the Japanese counterpart of the upcoming English set, Destined Rivals (releasing in May 2025).
Team Rocket themed sets have historically featured one of two different concepts (or both), “Rocket’s Pokémon” and “Dark Pokémon”. In keeping with Battle Partners and Heat Wave Arena, it looks like The Glory Of Team Rocket will feature just Trainer’s Pokémon cards. There is no expectation of Dark Pokémon in this set.
Based on cards that have been revealed so far, there is a slight difference between The Glory Of Team Rocket and the two prior sets. All Trainer’s Pokémon cards will have the same naming convention -- “Team Rocket’s [Pokémon]” and feature the Team Rocket “R” symbol. However different Team Rocket trainers (from Giovanni to Rocket Grunts) will be showcased in the trainer avatar on the card depending on the Pokémon.
