Released on January 17, 2025, Prismatic Evolutions is the fourth special expansion set from the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet series. It is the English counterpart of the upcoming Japanese High Class Pack set, Terastal Festival.
There are a total of 180 cards in Prismatic Evolutions, including 32 Special Illustration Rares, 12 Ultra Rares, and 5 Hyper Rares. There are no Illustration Rares in this set.
The main theme of Prismatic Evolutions is Eeveelutions, which has collectors proclaiming the set to be the next Evolving Skies! With a new "Sunbreon" SIR, colorfully illustrated Special Illustration Rares featuring each of the other Eeveelutions, and reportedly rough pull rates, this set very well may be.
Prismatic Evolution is the first English set to showcase the Poké Ball and Master Ball reverse holo patterns introduced in Japanese Pokémon 151, in additional to the "regular" reverse holo pattern, for a total of 3 types of reverse holos to collect. It is also the second English set after English Pokémon 151 to feature God/Demi God Packs (rare booster packs containing multiple hits). There is the possibility of pulling a pack containing an Eevee Master Ball Reverse Holo plus all 9 Eevee and Eeveelution SIRs or the possibility of pulling a three random SIRs in a single pack.
