Released on November 28, 2025, MEGA Dream ex is the first Japanese subset/annual High Class Pack set from the Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution era. It is the Japanese counterpart the English special set, Ascended Heroes (January 30 release date).
Like other High Class Pack sets, MEGA Dream ex mainly contains reprints of popular cards release across various 2024-2025 sets. However, there are new cards/card types introduced, such as:
- Art Rares and Special Art Rares, including more Trainer’s Pokémon cards
- Pokémon and Trainers from the latest Pokémon game, Legends: Z-A
- “Mega Attack Rare” (MA) cards - an updated spin on a similarly-styled card released during the XY era where the featured Pokémon’s attack was drawn into the card art
- Reverse holos featuring different types of Poké Balls
